Stock Inventory: Kanthal Wire Cloth |
 |
Produced under the tradename Kanthal by Kanthal Corp., these are ferritic iron-chromium-aluminum alloys used primarily for electrical resistance heating elements and similar devices. First developed about 1930, these alloys offer advantages of higher temperature, longer life, and higher resistivity over the oldest resistance heating alloy 80 nickel, 20 chromium. Chemistry typically varies from different manufacturers, with FeCrAlloy (U.K. AEA), Aluchrom (ThyssenKrupp VDM), and generic equivalents available. |
